Rudolph Valentine,
Owner/Trainer
Rudolph Valentine is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield and Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2009, he graduated magnu cum laude from Methodist University with a BS degree in Exercise Science. He has over 20 years of experience in conducting one-on-one and group fitness training for children, adults, soldiers and athletes, as well as male and female body building. For 9 years he volunteered and worked part-time as a strength and conditioning and track & field coach at Pine Forest High school and Methodist University where he developed 2 state and 3 high school/collegiate national champions. He received his experience in rehabilitation from 2 years of conducting his work study and internship at the Occupational and Physical Therapy clinics at the VA hospital, in North Carolina. He also had great successes as a small business owner of an on-site personal training service, (H.O.P.E.) Helping Our People Exercise. He began by having an interest in not only helping people to lose weight, but also to help people adopt a healthier lifestyle. Therefore, he furthered his understanding and education of the physiology, biochemistry, psychology, and biomechanics of exercise and sports performance in order to become an advocate of exercise in the prevention of lifestyle-related disease in the general population.
He became a personal trainer because he believes in promoting and encouraging a positive, complete healthy lifestyle of total living in all aspects of one's life which include physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. He believes that each aspect affects each other and therefore works with each other. When a person gets sick they feel down and their psychology is down. When a person is in great physical shape, they feel upbeat, more efficient, and have the ability to more effectively handle life's ups and downs and ultimately get the most out of their lives. He loves the challenge and rewards of helping people achieve their fitness, health and nutrition goals. He also wants to be a part of helping people live healthier, happier and more successful lives. He does it for the “goal “not just the “gold”.
